These new taps have a linkage that may be shorter than the original tap. In this case, you will need to swap over the linkage from your old tap and re-use it. Before using the tap you will need to release it by rotating the brass section behind the tap by quarter of a turn (anti-clockwise)

Previously this meant having to purchase a whole new fuel pump assembly, but this replacement spigot allows you to repair the existing unit at a fraction of the cost of a new fuel pump.
